The True self

Embarking on a therapeutic journey with me marks the beginning of a profound return to yourself. It's about reconnecting with your true self, your higher consciousness, your inner wisdom, or your spirit– whatever resonates with you. From my experience, many mental health challenges stem from a disconnection from one's true self. Our society often encourages us to seek external sources to cope with life's challenges, whether it's through materialism, substance use, overwork, or constant consumption of media and information. These distractions serve to numb us and keep us from delving into our inner world.

In therapy, your job is to approach your symptoms – whether they manifest as anxiety, low self-worth, depression, or isolation – with a genuine curiosity. These symptoms are message from hidden aspects of your true self, a part of you seeking change, wanting freedom. They signal that your current way of living is no longer aligned with your inner truth.

During our sessions, you'll bring forth topics that resonate with you, and while I may offer guidance, I don't possess any answers that you don't already hold within yourself. My role is to facilitate your journey of self-discovery, helping you uncover the wisdom that lies dormant within you. The bulk of your work will unfold outside our sessions, as you integrate insights gained and experiment with new ways of being in the world.

You're encouraged to explore various avenues of healing between sessions – whether through writing, art, mindfulness practices like yoga, or any other means of connecting with your emotions. Your focus will be on taking courageous steps in self-care and authentic communication with others. Dreams, fears, addictions – these are all symbolic reflections of your psyche's attempts to communicate with you.

Remember, this process belongs to you. It's your life, your essence, your true self seeking expression. The healing process requires that you are an active agent – meaning you have a willingness to embrace change and explore the depths of your being. Through this inward journey, you'll uncover a life that exceeds even your wildest dreams.

Does everyone achieve their desires in the end? Definitely not. Surprisingly, around 50% of individuals resist striving for personal growth. However, there exists a potential for us to ascend to levels of profound physical well-being, psychological depth, and even spiritual contentment by elevating our consciousness to a higher and more harmonious plane. Advancement to a higher or more fulfilling state of being is only attained through daring acts of courage on our part. These acts often entail relinquishing aspects of our existence that our ego fiercely clings to. While our ego stubbornly clings to familiar patterns, our true self yearns to break free and explore new horizons, ascending to new levels of existence.

I firmly believe that each individual is born with the inherent capacity and potential for transformative shifts, leading to profoundly richer lives. Throughout our journey together, you'll be encouraged to explore new physical and psychological avenues, delving into what truly brings meaning and fulfillment to your existence. I will serve as a guide, following your lead every step of the way. I'll help illuminate how your symptoms serve as messages, speaking volumes about your inner world and aspirations. However, the choice to embrace change ultimately rests with you.
